He was born in capital of the United Kingdom in 1899 and died in 1960, just three years after he immigrated to Aus tralia and print his novel On the Beach. This is one of his nearly well know novels. Nevil Shutes novels were divided into three categories; Prewar; war; and Australia. Each one of the novels was to the highest degree one of these things, scarce entirely were fiction.
